HOW DO YOU GET ATTA?

Wheat, Chana, Jowar, and Bajra were all ground in stone mills in the classical era. The richness and fibrous quality of these foods were preserved during this technique.

Yet, it took a long time and was exhausting. Today, atta is made by grinding wheat kernels (also known as wheat berries) on electric machines, thanks to the advancement of robotics. The majority of such machinery is advanced and keeps the wheat’s nutritious value. Whole wheat Atta is recommended by nutritionists since it is high in fiber and healthy.

ATTA’S MULTITUDE OF BENEFITS

  • Whole grains are found to protect against fat, cancer, and diabetes, according to research.
  • Atta is made from whole wheat and has a lot of fiber.
  • Protein offers a lot of enzymes, vitamins, minerals, and anti-carcinogenic abilities.
  • Decrease the risk of stroke: whole grains, such as wheat, have been shown in studies to lower the risk of stroke.
  • Whole wheat consumption has a beneficial effect on the human gastrointestinal tract.
  • Because of its antibacterial characteristics and high fiber content, it aids digestion.

TIPS TO REMEMBER WHILE BUYING ATTA

  • Look for Whole Wheat Atta (whole wheat flour) rather than Wheat Atta.
  • Buy Atta that is white and fine. Whole Wheat Atta is brownish in color and gritty in texture.
  • As a healthier alternative, several retailers carry organic Atta and multigrain organic Atta.
  • It is preferable to have Atta ground next to you. This will assist you to choose on the quality and texture you desire. The wheat kernels must be ground roughly since a fine texture will lower the fiber content.

HOW DO I STORE WHEAT FLOUR?

Atta should be kept in a cold, dark area in an airtight container. So, atta can be used for up to two months in this method. So, its life span will be extended by extra two months if kept refrigerated.
